The person said to wait 30mins - 1 hour to eat.. o.o

You might need to wait a day to eat really chewy things. It usually takes a bit for the real pain to kick in. It also depends how tight they are and if you get chains too.

*pats Aiyo's shoulder* I have 'em, too. Mine didn't really hurt as much as everyone said they would, but yeah, you have to wait a while before eating really hard or chewy foods.

The really painful part is when you get rubber bands. THAT is incredibly painful, and probably the worst part of the entire ordeal.

You have a lot to look forward to. xD

School starts that soon for you. That sucks.

The first three days was always the toughest for me. Ask for warmer foods, cause it relaxes your mouth more and stay away from cold foods, drinks cause it'll seem like your braces are getting tighter. [Metal contracts when cool, expands when warm. Blah, blah, science stuff.] (I'm so happy I'm free of them.)

I'm not lucky. I had to have head-gear that I had to wear every night for about 6 months. I had my fair share of time with braces. I had to wait two years to eat my favorite food.

D8 Gah;; I like eating meat but I can't have chewy. GAHH

And Head gear?! O__O I was dreading and hoping not to get head gear.

lol anyway kathia always breaks the rules of the foods that she cant eat like nothing like fruit snacks but she eats them anyway she breaks them all the time but its funny lol when she does it

Yes >8D i eat everything that im not suppose to.but i still need to wear head gear D8 it sucks.and hurts sometimes.
but overtime you should get use to it.

I guess I was lucky to get mine off before I started high school. (:

Making it sound more painful then it really is is great because then it doesn't seem as painful. Though...the cleaning process really stinks. o_O

But I had to have surgery, which made me keep my top layer long than my lower one.
Which kind of sucked. /:
But in the end, it's worth it.

ROFLS @ RETAINER. My friend had to get like 6 because she threw them away on accident and stuffies.

I almost died, going two years without gum. D8 I am a total gum addict. Ask anyone that knew me pre-braces. Any kind of gum, particularly Juicy Fruit. AND I HAD TO GO FOR TWO LOOOOONG YEARS. D8 TORTURE.

I'm getting them off pretty soon, though. Hopefully before Christmas...*giggles manically* Sorry, inside joke, that's really not all that funny. I'm hyper right now. Blame my best friend. She made me brownies.
