Just a few minutes ago i was on harvest dreams and there was a mini.....

EARTHQUAKE!

Oh my gosh... It was shaking and i was like freaked out! i logged off quickly and ran to my parents and i'm like "DID YOU JUST FEEL THAT?" and of course there answer was yes.

so i'm scared. i looked on yahoo weather and it just going to be rain where we live. But i'm still scared.

The little earthquake was most likely an after shock. I've felt them before, just make sure anything valuable won't fall down and you should be fine.

Nyyyyaaaaa. My two biggest fears are earthquakes and tornadoes. Very, very glad I live in Florida where those are both pretty rare. XD Hurricanes, I can deal with. Tornadoes and earthquakes/aftershocks/WHATEVER...not so much.

i just watched the news and it was a 4.4. >.> And my dad said "That was nothing! a 4.4 is lousy, Genna!" "But-but it scared me and it was completely random!"

I once expirenced a little earthquake. They didn't post it on the news though. I fell out of my bed when I started to feel shaking and rumbling. My dog was barking like a maniac.

Don't worry Genna. A 4.4 isn't the servere limit. I think 7.9 can be dangerous. I don't know much of the Ritcher Scale.

An earthqukae occurs when the earth's plates move. I think you guys know that already though.

i know that already yeah. I'll just go get my geography folder we were doing earthquakes so i'll see what it says in there.
aha. here it is... over 6.0 on the richter scale is a destructive earthquake. earthquakes are only a major problem when the strike near a large centre of population like a city. If they do people can be affected in many ways. here is a description of the richter scale:- this measures the "power" of the earthquake on a scale from 1-10. 6.5 or over is a powerful earthquake.

Earthquakes scare me.But the 4.4 was completely random. I was on harvest dreams just posting somethings and then I felt the ground shake and it shook more and more then it stopped. >.>

(Yeah, I've had california cheese before. It's hard for a person from wisconsin...)

i live in the country. so the only thing we can probably get is tornadoes *shrugs* the country we live in is the northeast

Hurricanes are pretty scary, but at least you have a while to prepare for them, or evacuate if you need to.

It is when people don't realize how dangerous the hurricaine is going to be that we get lots of damage and casualties. Most of the time just to save some money too...

Earthquakes are kinda hard to prepare for, especially when they are underwater. The affects can be worse then. Tsunami's (I don't know if I spelled this right.) are really dangerous and can be really wide.
