I'm not scared of the Swine Flu.
Australia has caught the Swine Flu epidemic; I'll give you that. But nobody is that scared.
Plenty of people have caught it, and yes, it's awful, but it doesn't kill as many people as you think.
So far, it's only killed really old people, or really sick people.
Heck, the Flu is in my house. I had to go into Quarantine for a while, too.

It's just a highly contagious flu.

there wouldnt be a swine flu if we treated the pigs better

It's not actually because of the pigs, did you know that? ^.^
Right now, you'd be safer kissing a pig than your own girlfriend or boyfriend.

My overall statement:

Calm. Down.

ummm actually the swinew flu comes from the pigs

Swine Influenza (swine flu) is a respiratory disease of pigs caused by type A influenza virus that regularly causes outbreaks of influenza in pigs. Swine flu viruses cause high levels of illness and low death rates in pigs. Swine influenza viruses may circulate among swine throughout the year, but most outbreaks occur during the late fall and winter months similar to outbreaks in humans. The classical swine flu virus (an influenza type A H1N1 virus) was first isolated from a pig in 1930.

Ah, granted that, but...
Your still safer kissing a pig than a person. The Australian Beuro of Statistics say that the Flu has moved now from pigs to the majority of people. Although, many people are overreacting.
Egypt wanted to slaughter all of their pigs. Neutral
Yes, the flu proved an amount of deaths to pigs, but has ceased considerably in them; while the amount of reactions/deaths have swollen in people.

And-... Crud, I'm going into debate mode. XD
I'm gonna shut up before I bore you further. XD

Mutation? What do you mean?
Mutation as in; the Virus slowly growing stronger and creepier?
Or the flu making people grow mutations?
I doubt either, but I'm curious. Do elaborate.

That's why the governments decided that it was more politically correct to call it the H1N1 virus, other than the Swine Flu. Because then people would go beserk and freak out every time they saw a pig.

That's what's really scaring everyone, I think. The first few bouts of the H1N1 virus weren't that devestating. But there's usually a pattern for Earth-shattering pandemics, and this one seems to be following that pattern. If it does mutate, it's going to be a lot stronger, a lot more deadly, spread a lot faster, and it'll be less resistant to antibiotics and vaccines.

But, until that happens, there's really no reason to lose sleep over it at the stage it's at right now. Only a handful of people worldwide have actually died from it, so all the fuss right now is mostly just precautions, especially when you consider that almost 300,000 people worldwide die every year from normal strains of influenza.

See? See? XD
Everyone listen to the smart girl. XD
*pokes Eternal Silence*

I wouldn't think there's much need for us to worry. Most of us are healthy young children/adults.
And it only kills a little more than the normal flu does. |D

mutation-I'm not sure when your normal flu hits. In England(where I am!) it'll hit around October. If swine flu is still around, the normal flu and the swine flu could mix...
...but seriously it's nothing to lose sleep over...espicially if Justice is protecting ya'll.
