for those of you who love avatar the last airbender, they're coming out with a live action movie! using real people! the trailer comes out in two or three days (that's what i heard at least) and the guy who played jasper in the twilight movie is playing sokka. I CAN'T WAIT! >: D

Ugh, I'm so disgusted with the live-action aspect of it. It's bad enough trying to turn a cartoon into a live-action movie, but what has made a TON of people FURIOUS is that the cast is mostly (or all) white people. The cartoon series featured mainly Asians.


The movie hopefully won't suck. But I can't see how it won't. :[ Which is a shame, because I absolutely LOVED the Avatar series when it was on.

I'm asian >.< and I'm a bit offended... JUST LIKE THEY CASTED A WHITE for the Goku live action movie -_-...

UGGGH. The whole thing is just...BAD. It makes me kinda cringe.



The entire series is directly influenced by Asian cultures. You can tell even by the character's names (Katara, Zuko, Suki, Toph, Sokka, Aang, Ozai, Azula...need I continue?). The setting, the costumes, even the calligraphy that's seen used in many places in the show...it's all DIRECTLY Asian-influenced. So why not make the cast more fitting to that?


Putting Caucasian actors in place of the original cartoon characters (who you can't tell me are supposed to be white) just takes away from one of the things that made the show so unique. It's so disappointing, because that was one of the most well-thought-out, entertaining, thought-provoking shows I have ever watched throughout its entire airing.

When they made deathnote into a movie they made it great with a mainly asian cast but hollywood are now making a deathnote movie there will be no asians and there making gedard way play L and zach efron to play Light .theyre going to wreck it!!!! i bet they waste ryuk as well!

so to summarize it, animes should never be turned into real-life movies. they turned dragonball-z into one.

If they turn Legend of Zelda into a movie and ruin it, I am going to be so angry. You...you just can't take VIDEO GAMES, our BELOVED video games, and turn them into movies.


I find that a lot of movies based off of stuff---books, TV shows, etc--- tend to do worse than the stuff based off of movies. Like, the Penguins of Madagascar show came from the Madagascar movie... I have a feeling I'm just rambling again, but it all makes sense in my head.
