I've been looking for a job ever since the start of summer and I finally got a call back from a local pizza place. I'm going in tommarrow for an interview, and I'm really excited. I have a lot of advantages towards this job, but I'm only 15, so I can't work a ton of hours yet. The advantages weigh out the disadvantage though. (I'm so lucky that the owner used to work with my dad too.) I hope I do get the job, cause I love pizza. It's close by, so I can bike there too.
Due to my interview I might not be on much tommarrow. | Okay, I finally had my interview and I was so nervous. I think I did okay, for the owner said he'd call me later next week. He also mentioned that the co-owner might want to interview me too. ...you want to know WHY I can't have a job?
It's because I need SEVENTY-FIVE HOURS OF COMMUNITY SERVICE to get my MYP diploma. That's by the end of tenth grade. And only 25 of those hours can be earned in the summer between my freshman and sophmore years. Which means that, in between juggling AP exams and homework and all that crap, I'll be spending my weekends at the soup kitchen.
Don't get me wrong, I don't mind volunteering. I just think that all the work is a bit unrealistic. |
