Miharu sighed as she looked at the goddess pond. It was frozen over. She sighed again and looked at her ice skates that she hadn't used in a year. She leaned over the edge of the pond with a skate in one hand. She lightly placed a skate on the ice. The ice neither cracked or made an unsettling sound. Miharu smiled ear to ear and laced on her skates. Before she even set foot on the frozen pond, she quickly picked a flower and threw it in the pond. Just to thank her for letting Miharu skate on the pond for a little bit. The ice stil didn't break so the flower just skidded across the pond. She smiled even more, standing up on the ice and staking around happily.

Momoko always goes to the Goddess Pond when she was bored and lonely. Right now, she had that feeling. "Brr! It's so cold!" Momoko complained. Will there be anyone at the pond at this hour? she thought worriedly. While she was walking on the path to the pond, she saw a familar figure! Yes! Someone is here! she thought happily. She started to run towards that girl, which on closer inspection, was Miharu! She looked like she was trying to ice skate on the pond. "Hi Miharu!" Momoko said with a big smile. "What'cha doing?" she wondered.

Miharu smiled and skated toward Momoko. "I am ice skating!" she stated, pointing at her skates. She sighed, seeing her breath in the air. "I haven't done this in about a year." Miharu said. "How are you theese days, Momo?" she asked, Doing another figure-8 on the ice to keep her warm and standing up.

"Oh, ice skating..." Momoko said quietly. She can ice skate?! That's incredible! she thought with envy. "During this winter, I'm bored! There's nothing to do but lie around at home!" she told Miharu. "So... I was wondering..." Momoko said to make conversation. "If you can teach me to ice skate!" she said quickly. "You seem good at it, and I really want to learn to skate like you!" she said excitedly.

Miharu smiled at her request. "I just happened to bring an extra pair of skates. But they didn't fit me. Maybe they'd fit you!" She said, going to her bag and pulling out some white, used, skates with baby pink laces. She skated over to Momoko, "Rule one, break in your ice skates before using them for long periods of time," She said in an official tone."but you shouldn't have to worry about that with these." she added.
