I currently own it and the game is awesome. Perhaps not as good as the other RF's as it's not as large (only 5 dungeons total) and pretty short, but it's a good game altogether with a different storyline (Though it seems to follow the amnesic hero routine like it's predecessors). And Shara is a huge step-up from Mist IMHO.

Do they still all look like they have sun burn in the game? Thats what got me most was the fact that they looked like they had stayed out in a tanning bed for way to long.

Other than that it looks fun to play...the idea of allowing your charrie to transform into a monster hasnt been done befor in the harvest moon series...that I know of. Im hoping to get it for X-mas...I saw an add for it at the gamestop website...and sat in aw the whole time I watched the comercial.

No, they actually have variations of Caucasian (Though Carmen and her brother do look like they have tans), and the univr have patterns and unicorn horns. The only monster you can transform into is your golden woolie self. However, you can have other residents accompany you, you can buy special magic seeds that become plant companions (water transport, plant sword, a plant that boosts your defense and acts as a decoy, etc), so there are plenty of new things. The only downside, and one that seems to be shared with every RF game except for Frontier, is you only have 2 save slots v.v
