Here's some ideas to get you started:

• According to folklore, the Harvest moon brings peace, prosperity, and an excellent harvest, while the Blue moon brings darkness and gloom. However, this Blue moon brings more than just an ominous feeling - this year, it brings danger.
  
  
• A stranger arrives in town with a baby and a past chock-full of secrets...
  
  
• A natural disaster on the island leaves a lot of people in a bad position.
  
  
• A bored babysitter sends her charges on a search for non-existent treasure buried on the island - only to discover that there is something buried!
  
  
• There is a neighborhood competition - who's got the best-looking house?
  
  
• Someone's been stealing out of her vegetable garden! But who could it be?
  
  
• Anonymous secret admirer letters keep showing up in his mailbox.
  
  
• A local business is hosting a pie-eating competition - the winner gets a free pie for the next year.

This idea is based on the original Rune Factory game.

The kingdom of Grangale, known as the kingdom of science, starts experimenting secretly in Sunshine Island, intending to use these tested technologies to create chaos in other countries they seek to conquer. Set sporadically in the island, various machines are producing monster gates, forcing creatures from Forest of Beginnings onto the island. This forced transportation makes these normally docile animals hostile. A Merchant comes into town selling weapons made with Retoren magic meant to send the creatures back to the Forest of Beginnings. Those who wish to unravel the mysteries of these gates and put a stop to the Grangale Empire's plans may join in this long, multi-part quest.
