Hi! I'm-thump thump thump CRASH DX (Maxy and Pamela)

Pamela thumped through the pages of a book she had read almost a thousand times-Romeo and Juliet. It seemed so strange, a boy and a girl fall in love at first sight? How ridiculous! SO strange in fact, that one who clearly understood it couldn't help but wonder if the story was actually a mockery of teen love. Still, it was a story not to be messed with. It was, after all,one of the "classics."

Pamela placed some strands of loose light blond hair-which was pulled into a loose and messy braid- behind her ear. Love was a strange thing, in deed. And actually, was not an emotion like some people thought it was. Sure, someone could feel love, but it was far from being an emotion. Emotions were happy, sad, angry, excited, etc.
She let out a sigh and went back upstairs to put the book back. And low and behold on her way back down, she bumped into a stranger causing her to trip over her own two feet and head flying down the stairs(again.)

Hissssssss...

Max smiled. He could hear his cherished Snake sitting idle in it's casket, which he held firmly in his arms. It was quite a hefty snake, certainly one that required more than a little effort to life. He had on many occasions considered purchasing a proper carrier, but, where was he ever to find one in a small town such as Mineral Town? Oh well.

The Snake Charmer had been on his way home, walking down the stairs when there was a collision.
Next thing he knew, there was a rather disorientated looking young lady lying on the floor.
"Oh, my poor lady." He said, setting his heavy snake on the Staircase.
"Are you alright?"

Max smiled, offering the girl a hand up.

Pamela took the hand of the stranger. "I'm alright." she said rubbing her nose. "This happens to me far to often, but thank you for your concern. Sorry for bumping into you." Pamela brushed herself off and streightend out her clothes. Pamela heard a soft hiss coming from the basket. Her first thought was a snake. "Um, are you carrying a snake in that thing?" Pamela asked raising an eyebrow.

Max smiled apologetically, sweeping his shaggy fringe out of his face, politely pulling his hood back a little, so he could at least make eye contact with the girl, as was proper etiquette. He didn't like having his hood back very much, it meant people could see his eyes. He liked his eyes, but they made him so readable. Oh well.

"Are you sure you're okay? I mean..." He asked, "Falling down the stairs, it hurts, I know."
The Snake Charmer briefly cast a look to the irate hissing in the basket. The snake held within was a jealous, pampered one, who always got a little peeved when left alone, and required constant chatter. Max always felt a little stupid carrying her.

Hissssss!

"Yeah, an Emerald Tree Boa." He answered.
"I... She's kinda one of my pets."

"I'm fine, really." Pamela said quickley. For whatever reason, she was more interesred in the snake. "An Emerald Tree Boa? I read a book on those, once." Well, Pamela had read a book and pretty much everyone at one point. "So, you collect snakes, huh? My father collected snakes when he was young, but got rid of them all when he woke up one night to find one of them coiled around his bed." She chuckled at the memory. "It was when he was super-young, so i scared him for life."

Max was a little surprised. Not many women he knew liked Snakes, which could possibly have been the cause for being such a hopeless romantic as a teenager. It brought a smile to his face to see that there women in the world whom tolerated the beautiful creatures.
The Snake Charmer suppressed the urge to laugh. He knew the experience, many times in his life had he woken up with a snake sliding across his chest. He'd made it a habit to change the locks on their enclosures every time they showed the slightest amount of wear.

"I guess I do collect them." He answered, wishing the grumpy snake that lay idle in the wicker basket would simply keep quiet, for once.

HISSSSSS.

"This one's a bit of a feisty one." Max explained, "She always gets a little excited before a Performance..."
Hissss.

The Snake Charmer cringed, wondering just when the Snake would learn to stay quiet. It seemed unnerving to passing Library-goers.

Pamela laughed musically. "It must really like you, then." She replied. "Otherwise it would probably ignore you completely." Pamela walked over to a nearby table and sat down, offering the boy a seat next to her. He probably wasn't even a few years younger than her, at least 18 or 19. Still, Pamela had always gotten along with people a totally diffrent age from her, so she really didn't mind.

Max gathered the hefty basket and smiled. His fingers already hurt from carrying the heavy snake that lay inside the wicker basket; really, he wasn't quite in the mood for traveling with such a large snake. So the Snake Charmer decided upon sitting and conversing with the fair-haired girl.
Gently, he placed the casket containing the boa on the floor, ignoring the cranky hiss that seethed from within. The snake would likely be grumpy later on, but the boa could deal with it. Max just wanted to talk to somebody, rather than get blisters on his fingers from carrying the ridiculously heavy basket.

Tucking himself away underneath his hood, Max smiled, seating himself beside the girl.
"She's one of my better Snakes. Certainly has an attitude, though." He answered, smiling under the shadow of his hood, letting his dark bangs fall back over his eyes once more.

"I never caught your name." The Snake Charmer added, "Do you mind if I ask what it is?"

"Pamela Fairchild." She replied clicking her tounge. The boy had nice eyes, why did he have to cover them up? She wondered noticing that he, once again, was putting his hood up. Oh well, it wasn't for her to decide. "What's your name?" Pamela asked. She figured if he asked for her name, she should ask for his as well.

The Snake Charmed smiled and bowed his head.
"Maximus Cameron."
For the briefest of moments did he sweep his hood out of his eyes again, revealing a wily grin.
"Call me Max."

His hood quickly fell over his face again. Good.
He felt strange without it, it was something he was almost never seen without, and he felt almost bare if it wasn't constantly hanging over his eyes.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Pamela." Max added politely, extending a hand to his new aquaintance.

Hisssss.
He could hear the hot-headed snake getting huffy in her basket, but he didn't particularly care.
He knew he should have been moving on, but he liked a nice, sophisticated chat. And Pamela seemed nice.

Pamela nodded. "Nice to meet you, Maxy-boy." she said smiling. If there was one lame hobby Pamela had, it was coming up with nicknames for people. She'd call them that nickname regardless of wheather they wanted her to or not. Pamela heard the snake in the basket becoming impatient with her master. Max, however, didn't seem to care a bit.
