Ah yes, I love the children. hmm i'm getting excited! I can't wait to see romantic development!
Also, I'D LIKE TO APOLOGIZE TO THE WORLD FOR BEING SUCH A WUSS DX I MADE TORI GO 'WEEEEEEEEE' RIGHT DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE DXX If I was freaked out enough, I would clutch on to the nearest person (as long as I know them). I also tend to have an over-active imagination. Like, "NOTHING IS GOING TO REACH OUT OF THE FLOOR AND GRAB ME. OH SHOOT. NOW IT IISSS." DXXX |

| Chapter Four: Another Trip “Oh. My. God.” Alison began, carefully arching her head over the hole, “She fell through the hole!” She turned to Alyssa, “What are we going to do!?” Alyssa craned her neck over the hole, trying to see if there was any bit of light down there. Luckily, there was a small light; she hoped Tori was on that level. “Tori!? Are you okay?” She yelled down. There was no response, then all of a sudden, “I’m okay.” It was groggy and a bit quiet, but it was recognizable still as Tori’s voice. There was relief through out the three of the girls. “What floor are you on?” Kristin asked loudly down the hole. There was no quick answer, “She fell down about five levels.” Well, that was a different voice, definitely not Tori. It was the sound of a man. “Who are you?!” “I caught your friend!” He spoke up, it was much clearer than what they had heard from Tori. “Don’t you dare do anything to her! We’re coming down!” Alyssa yelled, then taking off for one of the staircases and running down the multiple levels before reaching Tori and this stranger. Meanwhile on Tori’s trip down, she must have banged her head a few times because everything was all so fuzzy around her. How many floors did she hit before finally coming to a stop? Or did she even stop? Did she fall threw so many times that it didn’t phase her anymore? “Ahh!” She screamed on the way down, “Oof!” Hitting the ground and a few other objects before coming to a direct halt. “Whoa!” There was a voice and Tori was basically scrunched up in a ball. She didn’t even realize what had happened, it went by so fast that she could barely even think. But all she knew was that she stopped moving because she didn’t feel as if she was really falling anymore. Plus there was a warm feeling on her side, thankfully it wasn’t that warm, sticky feeling of blood, but more of body heat than anything else. “Are you okay?” His voice was definitely surprised. She had just fallen out of nowhere and right into his arms! She quickly coiled up into his body as if she was extremely cold, but looking more for a stable object to hold on to, reassuring herself that she wasn’t dropping anymore. She winced a little as she spoke, “I just fell several floors of the mine, do you think I’m okay?” “I think I should probably get you to the clinic.” He mumbled then heard another voice call from above; it sounded like another woman. “Tori!” This must have been this girl’s name, he felt her fist gripping his shirt quite tightly, “Are you okay?!” The woman in his arms took in a breath of air before responding, “I’m okay.” She didn’t really look okay, but it must have been said just to calm her friend. Lucky he was there to catch her. “What floor are you on?” That was a different voice than before, there must have been more than one up there. He glanced down towards the woman; she was in almost no condition to be yelling up several stories, she was going to need to be brought to Doctor Jin’s clinic to be made sure of her health. “Do you remember what floor you were on before you fell?” He questioned in a soft tone, “I think the tenth.” Her words were soft. She fell a good five stories before he caught her. Sure, he had fallen much farther but this looked like a girl who was only sight-seeing a mine, not mining for ores or metals. “She fell down about five levels.” He announced up to the other women, who were probably surprised to hear a male’s voice instead of their friend. “Who are you?!” Yup, the appropriate response to his thought. “I caught your friend!” He continued to speak at the same volume as before. “Don’t you dare do anything to her! We’re coming down!” She yelled to him. Like he was definitely going to take advantage of a woman. They would have better luck at finding him sleeping than finding him taking advantage of someone. He quietly sighed and rolled his eyes, so he was going to have to wait there for her friends to come running down the stairs. But he glanced down at the younger woman, and in this light, he could have sworn to have seen her somewhere before. But soon enough, three girls came into the area where the man stood. “Before you say anything, we should probably get her out of the mine and into some fresh air or to the clinic.” He spoke before any of them. They seemed startled for a moment before the blonde nodded, “Right. Let’s get her out of here.” Alison was the first one down the stairs and out of the mines, shaking herself off of any sort of dust particle or insect that may have decided to land on her. Followed behind her was Kristin, who shook her head at the sight of Alison, “Ali, it really wasn’t that bad.” She chuckled, crossing her arms over her chest. “It was gross in there!” Alison complained. Alyssa was the third to come out and was followed by the man who was carrying Tori. Before, Alyssa couldn’t really get a good look at the man because of the darkness. Now that they were in the light, his features were revealed: he was tall and had dark blonde, shaggy hair that was held down by a tan cowboy hat. His eyes were a shade of blue. His cheeks were slightly sunken in, giving him a little more age than he may have actually been. Along his jaw there was a light stubble. The way he was holding up Tori, who fell into some sort of unconsciousness on the way up, showed off his large hands. You could tell that he spent a lot of his time in the mine since his hands and his fingers were dirtied and appeared a bit callused. Where Tori had been gripping his ivory shirt showed off a little more of his chest than it had already been, making his chest hair seem a little more apparent and that he looked like he worked out quite often—was that a six pack Alyssa spied? Alyssa let out a soft gasp; that was the man that Tori had bumped into earlier during the day. “Did you hear me, miss?” He questioned. “Oh, I’m sorry, no.” Alyssa spoke, “Can you repeat that?” “We should probably get her down to clinic.” Alyssa responded with a nod and he began to walk a bit faster and Alyssa began to run just to be able to keep up with the older man. “Your name, what is it?” “What?” He glanced over down towards the blonde running beside himself. “What is your name? I assumed that you wouldn’t stay and wait for her to wake up.” She took another breath, “I want to tell her who carried from the mines because she would never believe that it was me or one of our friends.” “My name is Calvin, but I suppose I’ll give a better answer when we get down to the clinic.” He told her. In the rush, Alyssa didn’t say her name but continued to run forward. But they ran all the way to the clinic and Alyssa just followed Calvin to the clinic since this was only their first day looking around the town and they barely even had a chance to look around the town. But apparently the inn was right next to the clinic—Alyssa would have to keep that in mind in case of any future epidemics. Alyssa quickly opened the door, probably giving the receptionist a heart attack in the process, “I need a doctor!” She announced and the old woman behind the desk ran to the backdoor. “Jin!” The woman called and soon a relatively tall man came rushing from the backroom, forcing on his white coat with one hand and adjusting his glasses with the other hand. “What’s wrong?!” Alyssa, who was doubled over, trying to catch her breath, pointed over to the unconscious female in Calvin’s arms. Jin quickly motioned for Calvin to the side room and for him to place her on the examination bed. Alyssa and the other girls went to go in as Calvin came out, Jin blocked the way, “I need you all to stay out here.” He told them firmly. “But that’s our best friend in there!” Kristin spoke up. “I need to make sure she is alive first and I don’t need three girls hovering over me to watch me.” He continued in the same tone of voice. The girls did not respond and he glanced over to the older woman, “Grandmother, please tell them they can either stay seated over there or that they can wait outside.” “We’re standing right here.” Alyssa replied sourly. Jin, on the other hand, completely ignored her statement and went back over to Tori, closing the curtain behind him. Calvin moved outside, as if feeling he was out of place. The older woman came from behind the counter and stood by the girls, “He’s a very good doctor, I’m sure he can help you friend.” She glanced down towards them, “You can sit over there.” She paused, looking them over, “You three aren’t from around here, are you?” “No, and neither is our friend in there.” Alyssa spoke, moving over to sit down on the chair against the wall. “I’m Alyssa and these are my friends, Kristin and Alison. Our friend, Tori, fell down a hole in the mines.” “Oh, my name is Irene and Jin is my grandson.” She nodded to them. “That’s cool.” Alyssa nodded with a smile, noticing the older man had left and she quickly moved outside before he could really leave the area. “Excuse me, sir!” She called out, “Uhm, Calvin!” She called out once more and he took notice, turning around to face her. “Yes?” “I wanted to thank you again.” Alyssa spoke, “For helping me and my friends.” “It’s really no problem…” He paused, “I’m sorry, but I never caught your name.” “Oh, how rude of me!” Alyssa chuckled nervously, “My name is Alyssa and the one you carried is Tori.” “Well, it was no problem, Alyssa.” Calvin smiled weakly, “Let me know how she is when she wakes up then.” Alyssa nodded in response, “Good day to you then. “Good day.” She nodded again and he turned to leave and Alyssa waited for a moment, her eyes drifted a little lower, “Dang.” She mumbled under her breath, “Tori was right.” She continued to mumble, turning around to go back into the clinic, “He does have a nice butt.” With that said, she retreated back into the clinic and sat down next to Kristin, who was having a conversation with Irene and Alison, though Alyssa couldn’t help but worry about how Tori was doing, hoping she was going to turn out okay. Soon enough Dr. Jin came back out, Alyssa stood right up, “So you all are friends with that girl?” He questioned, they nodded. “Well you’ll be happy to know that she is going to be just fine. She hurt her head on the way down and slightly strained her ankle as well, but it was a good thing Calvin caught her otherwise that last bump might have done some serious damage to her.” Alyssa sighed softly, “At least she’s okay now, right?” Jin nodded, “Yes, but I think she should stay here for a few more hours and then I will see how she is again then.” They all nodded. “That’s fine. As long as she’s okay.” Kristin chuckled nervously. “She’s going to be just fine.” A ton of stress was just relieved from their shoulders—their friend was going to be alright. _____________________ Tumblr. | Chapter Five: Wanderer Even after finding out that her friend was going to be just fine--Alison still felt very unsettled. She almost jumped when Alyssa came back into the clinic, afraid that Alyssa would begin yelling at her. Thankfully, nothing like that had happened but still, Alison couldn't help but fidget in her seat. "Ali, are you okay?" Kristin questioned, placing a hand on her friend's shoulder, trying to calm down the poor girl's constant moving. The girl barely jumped but her heart still sped up for a moment before she let out a soft chuckle, “Oh, I’m fine, Kristin. Thanks.” Alison smiled weakly towards her friend as the doctor began to explain everything. “I think it would be best if your friend stayed here for a few hours.” The doctor spoke up; Alyssa nodded. “That’s probably for the best. Thank you, Doctor.” He merely nodded, walking from the group of girls and back into the backroom. A few minutes passed by, though it felt much more like an eternity for Alison, she let out a yawn. “I’m kind of hungry.” Kristin spoke up, touching her stomach for a moment, before getting a nod from Alyssa as well. “Yeah, me too.” Alyssa stated, “Do you want to go find something to eat?” Kristin nodded, standing up. Alyssa glanced towards Alison, “Are you coming, Alison?” Alison replied with a shake of her head, “No, I think I’m going to go for a walk around the town.” The two girls seemed a bit questionable about and Alison let out a soft chuckle, “It’s okay, I’ll be fine. I promise!” She grinned. Kristin let out a sigh, “Alright.” She spoke, “Try not to get into trouble.” With that said, they all walked out of the clinic. Alyssa and Kristin had walked towards the Ocarina Inn and Alison had turned to walk up the stairs, curious of what could possibly be up at the top of that hill. “Do you think she’ll be alright on her own?” Alyssa questioned Kristin, who merely replied with a shrugging expression. “She’s a big girl--I think she can handle herself.” Kristin replied, “At least I hope so. One clinic visit is enough for this trip.” Alyssa nodded, walking down to see if they could find somewhere else to eat aside from the Inn. Meanwhile, Alison was walking up the stairs, up the hill. Her curiosity was getting the best of her as her mind began to wander of what could be up at the top. Maybe it was a forest full of scary animals or a magnificent house that was home to a bunch of rich people. Maybe there was nothing, but maybe there was a single tree, or some sort of lake or pond. But she continued to walk up and gasped at the sight. It was a huge building, to her happiness, there was a stained glass window of the Harvest Goddess. It was very beautiful to look at, “My goodness.” She mumbled to herself, letting the beauty get the best of her. It really was such a nice sight to behold. She walked up a little further and moved over towards the stone fence, peering over the side of the cliff. “That’s a far fall.” “If you look far enough over, you could feel the water.” That was a new voice that Alison hadn’t heard before and she almost lost her grip on the fence and would have went over the side if she didn’t pull herself back quick enough. “Excuse me, but you startled me.” She quickly spoke, turning to face the source of the voice, straightening her clothing. “My bad.” He sounded totally sarcastic as he walked over to the edge a little further done from her. He didn’t seem to be in a good mood but glanced over towards Alison, “Are you new here?” He asked, even that sounded a bit sour. “Sort of. My friends and I are on some sort of vacation here for the summer.” She explained and he merely nodded, “I’m Alison.” She introduced herself and he stuck his hands into his pant pockets. “Chase.” He told her his name and back away from the edge, as if going to turn around to leave. “What are you doing here anyway?” She asked, growing a bit curious of this new guy. He shrugged, “No reason, I just like the view. Hasn’t been much business lately.” He shifted his weight slightly. “What about you?” He almost felt rude for not asking her when she had asked him, even if she was just being nosey. “I was exploring and came here! I figured I could ask the Goddess for a healthy recovery for my friend.” Alison spoke up with a smile, “You should pray to the Goddess for more business.” He just let out a laugh, “Pray to the Goddess?” He shook his head, “There’s no Goddess.” He stated; she almost appeared as if she was offended, “And even if there was, she hasn’t been doing any good for us down here.” Alison huffed, turning away from the orange haired male, crossing her arms over her chest, as if completely unwilling to listen to any of his words. “She has more things to deal with.” She merely answered back, “Very busy with the rest of the world.” From there, it was a bit of an awkward silence between the two for a few minutes until she began walking back towards the direction she had come from. “Well, it was nice meeting you.” She smiled sweetly over her shoulder as if there had been no problem between the two before. He simply watched her walk with a perked brow, perching his leg on the edge, “Yeah, nice meeting ya’.” He responded half-heartedly. The walk back was quiet for Alison, she was mostly in her thoughts, mumbling some soft words under her breath about her new acquaintance. She glanced up towards the sky—she hadn’t even noticed that the sun was beginning to go down. If anything, she figured it was almost dinnertime. How much time did she actually spend up there? Not entirely paying attention to wear she was walking, she accidently bumped into someone on her way down the hill. “Oh! I’m so sorry, I wasn’t paying attention!” Alison chuckled nervously. This new girl just laughed it off, a hand behind her neck. “No worries! I wasn’t either.” She answered, “The name’s Kelly, but my friends call me Squeak.” She introduced herself. Alison chuckled, “Squeak?” “Yeah, I don’t really know where it came from.” She shrugged, “You new here too?” Kelly questioned and Alison nodded. “Yeah, how’d you know?” “Two girls I met in the bar. Seems a lot of new people are showing up here.” She spoke, taking her arm back down to her side. “Oh! Those two are probably my friends.” Alison told her, Squeak nodded, “Yeah, that’s probably them. Though there is one more.” Alison continued, “But she’s staying at the clinic for now.” Squeak had an expression of shock on her face. “It’s a long story, really.” “I see. Well, I should probably let you get back to your friends.” With that said, Squeak walked up and passed Alison, placing a hand on her shoulder for a moment then took it away as she walked up the stairs. “It was nice meeting you.” Alison nodded in return then continued down to the lowest level. “May as well start from the bottom.” She mumbled, having no clue as to where this bar may have been. And why were her friends in a bar? Both Kristin and Alyssa knew very well that she wasn’t a fan of the bar atmosphere. Too many drunkards and weirdos. But while walking over the bridge, she was actually able to find the bar without looking for help! There it was! Walking into the bar, Alison managed to spot the familiar faces of her friends. “Alison!” They both called out, “Glad to see you found us.” Alyssa grinned, taking a drink out of her soda. “Yeah, seriously. You spent a while walking around, didn’t you?” Kristin asked leaning on the table. “I found a church!” Alison grinned, the two nodded as the listened to her explain her little adventure, “Then I met this guy--.” “Oh! You met a guy?” Alyssa smirked with a cheshire cat with obvious intrigue. Alison tried to hide her blush but there was no chance, they had seen it. “Do tell, but please tell me he isn’t… Really old.” Alison merely responded with a bit of a disgusted face, which made both Kristin and Alyssa laugh. “Nothing really about him. He didn’t seem very nice.” Alison merely explained, shrugging her shoulders. “Right.” Kristin dragged out. “Was he cute at least?” She smirked as well. Alison paused for a moment but nodding. Another huge tint of pink on her face. Both Alyssa and Kristin awed. “How cute.” Alyssa smiled, standing up from her stool. “Well, enough about boys, we’ll probably get an earful from Tori later.” Alyssa chuckled. Kristin stood up as well, “That is, of course, if we can take her out of the clinic.” Placing some gold on the table to pay for their food and drinks. The trio was reunited and they went back up to the clinic, talking about the possibly plans for the next day, giggled over past memories. Finally, the arrived to the clinic and as if on cue, the doctor walked out from the back room. “Well Doc, what’s the diagnostic?” Kristin questioned, placing a hand upon her hip. The doctor stepped over to the side and motioned to whoever was behind the curtain to come out. Of course, it was Tori who stepped out. “Your friend was a bit banged up and bruised. A few scratches here and there, but nothing that can’t heal.” The doctor explained. “Though, she will need to rest that arm of hers.” He motioned to her right arm, that was currently being supported in a sling. Her forehead had a small bandage on it and her chin had a small bandage as well. Her left arm was covered in bandages and wraps. Even her right leg had been banged up a bit with a few bruises. Tori glanced over to the doctor, “Thanks a lot, Dr. Jin.” The doctor merely looked down at her with a weak smile and nodded. “You’re welcome. Please try not to hurt yourself anymore.” Jin glanced back over to the girl, “Especially on this little… Trip of yours.” “You got it.” Tori smiled, walking back over to her friends. They smiled weakly as they escorted their friend outside of the clinic. Alyssa tossled Tori’s hair while Kristin basically attacked Tori with a hug. Alison stood there for a moment, awkwardly scratching her arm. Kristin backed off and Alison took a step forward. “I’m really really sorry about--.” Alison began but was cut off by a hug from Tori. “Don’t worry about it, okay? I know you didn’t mean it.” Tori smiled, Alison returned the hug. They both separated and Tori grinned widely to the others, “Alright! Who’s ready for some more adventure?” The girls merely sighed and laughed. “It’s been a long day, Tori. You need to get rest.” Kristin told the small brunette. Tori pouted, “But I’ve resting all day in that doctor’s office!” “Don’t act like you didn’t enjoy it!” Alyssa laughed, “Sounded to me like you had a bit of a talking-thon with the doctor.” Alyssa crossed her arms over her chest with a chuckle. “Well, ya’ know.” Tori replied, “He was the only one around to talk to. I had woken up and he was sitting by his desk. Did you really just expect me to sit there in silence?” The girls laughed, “No, but still.” Alyssa glanced up towards the sky, it was darkening. “It’s getting late.” She mumbled. “But but…” Tori began, trying to protest, “I have so much energy!” Both Alyssa and Alison shook their heads, while Kristin gave in. “Fine, you and I can go for some walk or something.” Tori grinned in success. “Yes! Awesome!” {Ohmygawd, it's finally updated. Whoopie! -goes to pass out at 2am- } _____________________ Tumblr. Ask Me A Question |

| Yays! I finally get my on epic adventure XD HAHA! Peering over a cliff and saying, "That would be quite a fall!" Caption Obvious. Geeze I am such a blond in reality I swear. I tend to act and speak before I think XD I kinda felt like I was talking with Graham. Just the other day, my mom and I were driving in her car to somewhere and there was construction on the road. A section of the road was blocked off so you could only get into one lane. My mom was like, "AH! WE'RE IN THE WRONG LANE!" (I can't really remember the details of this. I think she meant we were in the lane headed towards the construction workers, I don't remember) I'm like, "WHAT!? WE'RE IN THE WRONG LANE!? Wait a minute...there's only one lane, mom!" I finally get to meet my prince-y. yay! I do have a guilty conscience, BTW. Good job with that. I tend to randomly break out into song, too. One of my friends who has to put up with it just kinda blocks me out afterwords. I ALSO TEND TO RANDOMLY JUMP TOPICS WITHOUT REALIZING IT! AND WELCOME SQUEAKY! |

| Chapter Six: Long Nights The moment Tori had heard Kristin give in to her request, she was all smiles and seemed a bit more bouncey. She had been stuck inside that dang doctor’s office for the major part of the day, and she was doing absolutely nothing… Well, she had spoken to Dr. Jin for a while, but she wasn’t using any actual energy. As the sun continued to set on the horizon, Tori’s energy was sky-rocketing every minute that she just stood there. Alyssa shifted her weight, pressing her left hand against her face as she just shook her head at the sight of the bouncing girl. She glanced over to Kristin, “You sure you don’t mind?” She asked. Kristin just responded by shrugging her shoulders, she must have not really cared so much. Alyssa merely nodded then let out a wide big yawn. “Well, it’s been a pretty long day.” She looked at Tori, “I still really think you should go get more rest, but you’re obviously not going to listen to me.” Tori waved that off. “I’m going to head inside and actually try to get some rest.” She looked to Alison, “You coming?” Alison nodded, stretching her arms up with balled fists, “Yup!” Letting out a softer yawn than Alyssa’s, “Goodnight guys. Try not to stay up too late.” She smiled, Alyssa nodded. “Yeah, especially you.” She tossed her eyes towards Tori, knowing that she would probably wind up staying awake all night. “Just because we’re on vacation doesn’t mean you can go without sleep.” “Okay mom.” Tori answered—Kristin and Alison snickered, Alyssa merely kept a soft smile on her lips and shook her head. “Alright, well, goodnight.” Alyssa spoke, turning on her heel to walk back into the inn, with Alison trailing right behind. After the girls had gone inside, Kristin had glanced towards Tori, motioning to start walking. They started walking, it was a slow walk—Tori could definitely tell that Kristin was tired and wanted to go to sleep. Tori bit her bottom lip, “You don’t have to stay up. I’m sure I can last on my own.” Kristin shrugged, “It’s fine.” She yawned. Tori chuckled softly, shaking her head. “So, what’s been going on?” She glanced down towards her friend. Tori shrugged her shoulders, despite the slight amount of pain that put her arm in. Tori simply motioned to her arm in the sling and Kristin laughed. “I mean other than that.” “Oh, well… Nothing that I really know of.” Tori paused, “I guess nothing recent.” She answered, looking up towards Kristin. Tori looked back down; everything seemed to be getting darker. She chuckled softly, “They should really invest in some street lights here.” Kristin pressed her brows together, “Something’s on your mind.” Tori looked back up with an amused look and an arched brow, “And how do you know that?” Kristin laughed, crossing her arms over her chest, “Come on, how long have I known you now?” Tori looked back down and just laughed, “Yeah, I guess. But no, I don’t have anything on my mind.” “Lies.” “Oh come on! I’m being serious.” “Okay, okay. I believe you.” Kristin replied, though it sounded a bit sarcastic and Tori grumbled under her breath. Kristin couldn’t exactly make it out but she knew that Tori usually did that when something was bothering her and she didn’t want to admit it. Kristin knew that Tori would give in at one point—whether it be now or later. For a little while, the pair was quiet, it seemed that they were both enjoying the sight. “I was thinking.” Tori spoke up, breaking the silence. Kristin looked over to her, though she could barely see her features, other than what was visible in the moonlight. “About?” “This trip.” She answered simply. “Maybe it was just because I was staring at the pristine white walls of the clinic or maybe that fall knocked something into my head.” She went on, “But something keeps telling me that we were brought her for something. For some reason or another.” “I think you’re just going insane.” Kristin replied—so that was what was on her mind. Silly thoughts. “Or you’re just overtired.” Tori simply laughed, “Clear sign that you want to go to sleep.” “I won’t lie when I say that your little fall scared us and took a lot of the energy from us.” “Alright alright, we can go back.” They turned back around and headed towards the inn again. Once back at the inn, Kristin touched the door while Tori moved towards the ledge. Kristin quietly eyed her, “You coming in?” Tori glanced back over her shoulder. “Oh yeah, I’ll come inside in a little bit. I’m just gonna’ stay out here for a little while.” Kristin sighed, she didn’t like the idea of Tori staying out there all by herself. But what she also knew was that Tori was old enough to take care of her own self and trusted her. “Alright. Try not to stay out here long. I’m going to bed.” “Alright. Good night.” Kristin paused once more before opening the door to the inn, “Good night.” With that said, she walked inside and back to her room. Meanwhile, Tori moved to the ledge and swung her leg over the edge, sitting down with her legs dangling over the other side. Her eyes gazed off into the moonlit horizon with all the stars dancing in the skies. “Can’t see stuff like this in the city.” A moment of pause, “The girls are really missing out on this.” She didn’t know how long she had sat outside, but the moon kept rising higher into the sky and she was content with staying out there all night. It was refreshing—no bustling cars, no flashing lights, no billboards. This was a whole new adventure in it’s own. She hummed softly to herself, some random song that she couldn’t remember the words to—only the tune. Her brown eyes scanned the sky and she gasped, a wide grin flashed across her face. A shooting star! She had to make a wish quickly and she knew just the wish. “I wish that this trip will be the grandest and best trip of them all!” She spoke, her voice full of excitement—what a dreamer she was. From there, the night seemed to go by quick enough. She had been mesmerized by the distant sounds of the bay and the ocean and by the glistening stars in the sky. She let out a soft yawn, though it wasn’t anything that just made her want to go to sleep. There was no point in going to sleep now—her head didn’t move but only her eyes, along the horizon the sky had started to turn a lighter blue. She chuckled under her breath. She wound up doing what Alyssa didn’t want. She stayed up all night, outside to make it even better. “Well, may as well watch the sunrise.” She mumbled to herself, slouching her back over, a weak smile on her lips. “I hear it’s beautiful.” New voice! Tori almost jumped out of her own skin, straightening herself quickly and looking back. “Whoa!” He laughed, sticking his hands into his jean pockets, “Didn’t mean to startle you, ma’am.” He walked towards her and she just watched him. Wasn’t that the man from yesterday? “No, it’s okay. Don’t worry about it.” She turned her attention back out to the sunrise in the distance. She noticed how he moved up next to her but kept his distance. She readied herself to jump back around if he tried anything. “Might I say you’re up rather early?” Was this his attempt at small talk? Tori chuckled softly, “Or rather late.” She glanced towards him, “Haven’t gone to sleep yet.” She told him, he snickered softly. “Something funny about that?” “No nothing at all. I’ve just never met a lady who would stay up all night.” He defended himself, pushing his hands into his pockets. She merely nodded, he went to speak more, “I don’t think--.” She cut him off, “Tori.” She introduced herself, “I would offer a handshake but… Yeah.” She motioned to her injured arm. She hadn’t noticed the guitar slung over his back, he merely nodded. “Don’t worry about it.” He replied, then pulled the guitar from over his shoulder, leaning his foot on the ledge. “I think my carrying you all the way to the clinic sufficed enough for a handshake.” Tori blushed profusely. So the man she had been oogling from yesterday morning had caught her when she fell and carried her all the way to the clinic. “I’m sorry about that.” She looked away. “I’m serious, don’t worry about it.” He tipped his hat towards her; then went back to strumming his guitar. “Alright, if you say so.” With that said, she went back to enjoying the sunrise, plus now with a little background music that just made the sight a bit more… Beautiful. She glanced over towards him, “I don’t think--.” He cut her off. “Calvin.” He spoke with a smirk. She chuckled softly, “Nice to meet you.” Calvin then replied with a similar response and she went back to enjoying the sunrise. She had been enjoying herself for quite a while until someone barged outside the door, sounding as if they were in a panic. “Tori!” Her name was called and she looked back over her shoulder. She grimaced a bit, Alison. “Morning?” The sound of the guitar stopped and Calvin looked between the two before slowly retreating inside of the inn. She flashed a nervous smile towards the girl as she stormed up to Tori. “Why didn’t you come in last night!? I didn’t hear you go in with Kristin!” She barked at the older girl. “I didn’t feel like going inside.” Tori replied simply. “That’s no excuse!” Alison retorted. Tori pushed her brows together. “You should have went inside when Kristin came in.” “I didn’t have to and I didn’t want to.” Tori responded. “You shouldn’t have been outside! Alone with an older man, nonetheless!” Alison continued. Tori rolled her eyes, barking back, “I’m a grown woman. I can handle myself. It’s not like I ran away. And I didn’t get hurt so I don’t really see what the problem is.” Alison fumed and just scoffed at the girl turning around and stormed back inside. Tori sighed and swung her legs back around and stood up, rubbing her temples. This was going to be an amusing morning. _____________________ Tumblr. Ask Me A Question |
