Genna felt a teeny bit better. Of course it was going to take years for this to heal but she didn't mind now. The voices were still there but they didn't bother her as much. This was a big improvment for her. Probably not from a doctor's view but to her it was. Although she was a nervous wreck when she got there, she gradually became confindent and was happy at the end.

Genna was enjoying a walk with her kitten, Mittens, in her bag. Although it was cold, she still enjoyed the weather. She felt happy, nothing could ruin this day for sure.

Even if Gabriel took a day off people would end up going to his house with their problems, the easy solution for that was to go somewhere else. So he went far away from Mineral Town to Waffle Island to escape the madness of being a doctor. It was a nice island, he went there once before to talk to Jin about herbs native to the place. He walked along the street as he smoked a cigarrette. He noticed a familar girl, it seemed to be Genna, his patient he diagnosed not that long ago. "How's your mind doing?" he asked her.

She could smell smoke from somewhere. "Where's the fire?" She thought. Then a familiar voice said how was her mind doing. She turned her head and noticed it was her doctor. "Oh, hello doctor~ Well the voices only come occasionally which is great," Genna said smiling, fully turning around. The voices seemed to calm down from the medicine. Which meant less threatning. That helped her a lot. She was almost back to her normal self, being her happy self and taking daily walks. "How are you?" She asked.

The smoke seemed to catch Genna's attention at first, like it did for most people. Surprisingly she didn't wonder why he'd smoke if he was a doctor of all things. "I'm off duty," he said smiling. "Call me Gabriel or Gabe." It was nice to hear that her conditioning was improving. He was worried that the medicine wouldn't agree with her, but luckily he made the right choice for her. "Busy as usual, I had to get away from Mineral Town just to get a break from work," he chuckled.

She didn't want to get in a fuss to why he smoked. Oh well, let him kill his lungs. "I'm so used to calling you doctor and now I have to change it. But all right then, Gabriel," Genna giggled. In that appointment she was so used to calling him doctor. Now she had to get used to calling him by his first name. "I usually have time off also. Although I work all week, my employees help by being in charge." She explained. She had to work at least nine hours a day which was tiring for her. But sometimes she would have time off which was great for her. Also possibly a day off. Her last day off was the day of the appointment.

"You'll get used to it soon enough," commented Gabriel. They both seemed to be on the same wave length for working hours. Long days were normal for him and once someone showed up at his doorstep in the middle of the night. That's what you get for being a doctor though, and it annoyed him that some patients would be that bold when their life wasn't in any danger. "Sometimes on days off I have to work cause people will come to my house," he said. "I should have had my house farther away from the clinic I guess."

"It's tough owning an Animal Shop. But it does help me pay for things. Thank god for farmers," Genna chuckled. Mostly farmers came to her shop and she was grateful to sell/adopt her animals. It also payed her bills and daily things. "Emergencies happen often I guess?" she said Well it was only a twenty minute boat rise from Waffle island to mineral town. But still. The first time she went on these boat rides, she got sea sick. But now she's used to it and used to the ocean.

"As you say, farmers," Gabriel said. "Like how they help your buisness many come in with simple farm injuries." Sometimes animal bites were the injuries too, but most of the time it was carelessness with farm tools. Most of the injuries were rather small and could wait till the morning though or could have been dealt with at the patient's own home. It wasn't that difficult to a band-aid afterall. "I wouldn't call them emergencies," Gabriel said after thinking about it.

"Animal injuries are not that severe, Unless some animal was trying to rip your arm off. Then that will be an emergency," Genna explained. Usually her animals got mad when they needed food. Of course, none of her animals would try to murder their owner. Then she would be sued. "But that would probably never happen," She finished. The only thing her animals would so to hurt their owner was scratches which wasn't that severe. You can easily stop the bleeding and put a band aid on it.

"You forget one thing," Gabriel said correcting the girl. Animal bites usually were small things, but even if the animal was happy accidents can happen. "Infections. Areas that are bitten or scratched by an animal have a high probablity of swelling and becoming infected, but usually a person can prevent that with over the counter medicine. There is the think when rabies is added to the question though. That's something that needs to be treated as soon as possible, but a lot of the time people don't seem to know what exactly rabies are. Which makes my job difficult from early in the morning."

"Really?" Genna said answering the infection thing he was talking about. "But my animals never have rabies, we checked," She explained. She gets her animals from the U.S. So they check if they have any diseases or rabies. Usually They got a bill of perfect health. Sometimes they have a sickness which they can't treat so one of her employees have to take care of it. "It's hard being a doctor, isn't it?" She said. For her it sounded pretty hard, with all the words and machines and the pictures of either the head or body.

"Sometimes it is, sometimes it isn't." Gabriel said. "That's pretty much it, I love my job though." He chuckled as he said, "Even if I always don't look the part." It was weird for a smoker to be a doctor he had to admit, but that was his problem and he was happy with it. Shure he got weird looks for it, but no one could change his mind about it at all. He wasn't one to change for anyone, even his parents.

It was really weird for him to smoke, especially since he's a doctor. When she ran away she was pretty used to it from seeing people smoking all the time. Luckily she didn't get secondhand smoke. "Doc- I mean Gabriel, I really have to thank you for diagnosing me. It was a problem," Genna said. The medicine was doing it's best for the voices not to come so frequently, that really helped her. By the looks of it Gabriel really liked being a doctor, probably for him, saving lives was important.

Gabriel simply shrugged his shoulders as if it were no big deal at all. "No problem," he said stuffing his hands into his pocket so he could rub his fingers on his lighter in there. "It's my job afterall, I wouldn't be much of a diagnostician if I couldn't help you," he explained. The voices must have been claming down in her head and she probably could think better too. By the looks of it she was happier too.

Genna smiled. Although the voices came rarely, she cold focus more on work and the most important things to her. She was glad she didn't have to go through surgery, again. She hated it, cause she was afraid she could die during surgery. But luckily she only needed therapy and medicine. "I think I should go now, I was on a little break from work." She said looking at her watch. "Bye D- I mean Gabriel!" She said waving while running.
