Normally Gabriel would head to the resturant and bar in Mineral Town, but today was different. He was in the Valley so it didn't sound too bad to check out the drinks here for a change of pace. The Blue Bar did have a nice country feel to it, but Gabriel couldn't decide if he really liked the place. It had a good beer without a doubt, but it seemed a tad outdated and looked like it could use a real good cleaning. Plus Muffy the waitress seemed like a simple minded fool that couldn't have a decent conversation with him.

Michael wanted to go see the bar here. Maybe to get a beer or too and see how it tasted. Since the Inn was right next door to the bar which he really liked. He seemed to like this place so far. He got lost a few times but he got out of those problems. The bar looked small from the outside. He opened the door and saw a familiar person he met. He took a seat next to him. "Hey there, Didn't suspect you here," He said. Surely Muffy seemed to be the happy cheerful type when Michael didn't really talk at all. He raised his eyebrow at her in a can-I-have-a-drink-please kind of face. She seemed to be creeped out and decided to get his drink.

The door creaked open, but Gabriel didn't care enough to look. Most people came to the bar to hang with friends or drink their troubles away. Unexpectedly he heard a semi-familar voice and he turned his head to see the man he met earlier, Micheal. He lived here, but Gabriel didn't expect him to be the bar type. Then again most of the time as an EMT after work they'd all head to the bar. "Same with you," Gabriel admitted.

"I usually have a beer or two once in awhile," Michael explained. He wasn't the type of person to go drunk everytime and be all lazy for work. It happened to him once and the hospital almost fired him for being late on an operation date. Luckily he got himself together but he needed help with co-ops, like always. That operation was one of the operations he hated due to being and drunk and almost doing everything wrong. Then he promised himself to drink only once in awhile. Good times.

"Nothing is better than a good drink after a hard day, huh?" Gabriel said for the sake of keeping the conversation going. He wanted to talk to anyone so Muffy wouldn't come over and annoy him again. Something was clearly wrong with that girl. She worked at a bar and yet she was so talkative to the people who didn't want to talk to her. It was rather annoying to be honest.

"Yup," Michael said agreeing with Gabriel. He remembered his hard days at work. Some where easy and most were hard. especially where the nurse was freaking out when a patient was going into cardiac arrest. But he just relaxed and got his pulse back. Those were one of the nurses that he would get annoyed by. Michael looked at this "Blondie" who really wanted to start a conversation, he just ignored her and gave her a aren't-you-supposed-to-give-people-drinks-now?, kind of face. "Back in my hometown, Some nurses weren't actually acting like nurses. That's what kind of got me annoyed," He said.

"I think some people become nurses just to flirt with the doctors," Gabriel said. When he thought about it, it made sense. It took doctors longer to go to school than nurses. Girls that don't like working hard become nurses. They graduate and then do their absolute best trying to get a doctor as a husband so they can quit and live a nice calm family life. "It's annoying, espeacially when they can barely hold a decent conversation with you."

"That's one of the reasons. I don't really understand nurses these days," Michael chuckled. He only became a surgeon because he had a passion of becoming a doctor of some sort continue his family tradition, and save lives because people didn't deserve to die of a tragic accident or illness. Speaking of nurses, his mother was a nurse but she didn't become a nurse just because of what Gabriel said. She wanted to be a nurse ever since she was little.

"Yeah, they used to be such a help," Gabriel said taking a big gulp from his beer. He couldn't help but wonder where all the good nurses in the world went. He'd love to work there, since they were taking their job seriously. Being a doctor isn't some sort of medical game, it should be taken seriously. "I find it rare to find nurses that take their job seriously, but the ones that do are some of the best."

"I know right?" Michael said. He believed that usually the older ones take their job seriously instead of just flirting with the doctors while they just focus on their job. "That's true, usually if they spend a long time working in the hospital they focus on their job more," He explained. He remembered one nurse who would only work and work. She was night shift. He felt a little bad for her since she wasn't a night person. He couldn't do anything about though.

It was nice to be able to talk about the annoying things about work again, it was kind of relieving. Back at Resurgam he could do that with his friends, but he didn't really notice how nice it was untill he went awhile without speaking to anyone about it. "Speaking of the hospital, what's your specialty?" Gabriel asked Micheal. He knew he was a surgeon, but there were different catigories of sugeons afterall.

"I mostly do emergencies, but sometimes scheduled operations doing with tumors," He explained. Surely emergencies were aggravating, and stressful for him and he didn't want anyone to talk to him cause the patient might just go into cardiac arrest probably any minute. He didn't know why he wanted to work in the ER anyways. He was probably convinced or just wanted to work there. He didn't really like it but it was his duty to save lives.

Gabriel didn't like emergencies himself to be exact. They were often some of the most difficult things he has ever done as a doctor and there was a less chance of patients living in emergency operations afterall. "I miss the thrill of that," Gabriel admitted. "It was so stressful, but you have to move quickly with a steady hand. It was the greatest feeling ever when operations like that were over. I decieded to continue my studies though to become a diagnostician."

"Yea, that's true." Michael said agreeing with Gabriel. There was a little percent of the patient living in a emergency operation. You had to move fast and start immediately. "Must be hard with trying to know the patient's syptoms, huh?" he said. There had been cases where people, especially kids, wouldn't tell their syptoms and end up being in a critical state. He hated that that, a lot. Cause he had to end up doing surgery and didn't know what the hell was going on.

"Only if they cover them up," Gabriel admitted. The symptoms weren't the problem at all, it was the patient or if the symptons didn't add up to be a known disease. Patients were the main problem to deal with being a diagnostician. Gabriel had to watch their behavior to see which was the best way for the truth to come out. Most people wouldn't hide their symptoms, only they people that didn't want to be diagnosed. "Must be hard treating unknown diseases with only theory, huh?"

Michael seemed to think it was pretty easy knowing that symptoms could sum up to a known disease. "Pfft yea, usually diagnosticians like you tell me the diagnosis and tell me what to find and expect. But unknown diseases just throws me off and don't know what to expect," He explained. He didn't like that, because the patient was in greater risk of dieing. He remembered when a kid was just playing a video game and just blacked out. The kid was at a doctor's office recently and just told the doctor that he was fine. The he ended up in a hospital and the mother almost sued that place. Luckily it wasn't, he was pretty glad of that.

Sometimes finding a disease was more difficult that it seemed. Plus as a diagnostician he had to pick out the right cure, which was a pain as well. Some medications didn't work as good on people as others, also some peole got allergic reaction. "Yeah," Gabriel nodded rubbing his face. It needed a shave, so possible tomorrow he'd do it--that is if he didn't forget again. "Perscribing a cure is the most difficult part. Not every treatment works for everyboby and for a lot of people you have to get it right or they'll become unrational and possibly sue."

Michael nodded. Some medicine had dangerous affects that were critical as well, but it might have been someone elses medicine or a doctor made a mistake. "Yea, some medicine can have dangerous side affects also," He added. He never had a case of a patient who took the wrong one. No ever took it on purpose or accident. Luckily they usually looked for their name on the bottle, which was good because then he wouldn't be all confused and what the heck was wrong with the patient.
