Riss looked out towards the ocean from the pier. That fishy smell was all over her by now.
Boy am I going to get told off by grandma she thought. A seagull swooped by, surprising her, she fell into the water. (Don't worry, she can swim!). Riss started grumbling about the seagull.

New Years Eve, almost everybody was inside right now. Of course, it was the afternoon right now. People would come out at the evening. But Isaac couldn't stand staying indoors all day. He just walked on the pathway, enjoying the outdoors. Although no animals were out, although they might be out tomorrow since it was going to be spring first.

He stopped in his tracks when he realize he was very close to water. Okay, who goes in the water at winter? No one. He looked up to the ocean and noticed a small girl in the water. There was no way he was going in there. Well she seemed very close to the dock so it might be easy just picking her up and putting her down on the dock.

He walked along the dock, getting closer to the figure every second. Until he reached the end of the dock. He squatted down, resting his hands on his knees.

"Hey, what happened?"

"Stupid seagulls, what kind of bird comes here in winter?!" grumbled Riss, a little louder though.
Riss was in the middle of getting back on the pier when that seagull came back. She tried to shoo it away, when she fell back into the water. You could just imagine how frustrated she was right now.

Isaac couldn't but laugh a little. "Well it's almost spring, here I'll help you up," He said, holding out a hand. It was bad swimming at winter, plus he parents would probably be concerned. He didn't want anyone to get here in this situation like drowning, dangerous fish, or anything. But he found the seagull problem funny. Those are some pesky animals, also annoying.

Riss took his hand, but she still had her suspicions about the 19 year old.
"Thanks." But Riss didn't really mean it, because her ears are pretty good and she heard him laugh.
And then the seagull came back for more.
