Alright, I had a different thread up earlier, but I decided that would be too much of a hassle so I deleted it.
I'm starting a theme challenge for this site (and myself).

I'm going to seriously do this one.



Now, it can be any pairing whatsoever from the HD OCs. So if you want to see Ari/Dylan, request Ari/Dylan. Here's the thing, it doesn't have to be limited just to the married couples, so we can pretend they were never officially married unless you give me that as a theme. So if you want Gabe/Arden or Chase/Ari, go for it. I will not deny any pairing, so let your imagination run wild.

No, the theme is what the little drabble is focused around. Themes can be like: Brave, Succeed, Limited, Bitter, Cold, Warmth, Shadow, Parenthood, Sunset, things like that.

Clara/Jethro

They were young, probably no older than seven and eight years old. The young dark-haired girl let out a soft giggle while the redhead fell over from his handstand. They were playing between the two houses where they came from, on the front yards.

The boy flopped over and rubbed his head with a pout on his little boy face, “Clara that wasn’t very smart. Your ideas hurt me.” He complained, not even noticing that the little adventuress was climbing her way up the tree.

“Oh stop your whining and come up here.” She responded.

“But Clara!”

“Come on Jethro!” With a groan, he stood up from his sitting position on the grass and moved to the tree, where he would try to begin climbing the tree. She had to grab him and force him up, since he was taking forever.

They both sat up on the tree branch, lightly kicking their legs as they both looked out to the neighborhood. “If you don’t like my ideas then why--.”Clara had begun but was cut off by Jethro, who had focused his eyes on the horizon.

“I had an idea once.” Clara glanced at him curiously.

“What was it?”

Jethro shrugged, “Well, it wasn’t really an idea, but more like a promise.” He glanced at her, “You have to promise to be my best friend forever!” He smiled, like he had won a battle.

“But I am your best friend already!”

“I mean like our moms and dads! They’re best friends forever!”

“Jethro, that’s a weird idea. But our parents are married.” Clara laughed, crossing her arms over her chest.

“Yeah, we’re gonna’ be best friends forever like our parents.” Jethro smiled.

“You’re so strange, Jethro.” She shook her head, jumping down from the tree branch. “Come down it’s almost time for lunch.”

“Well, I promise that you’re going to be my best friend, wife or not!” Jethro pointed down towards her, dropping down from the tree. Clara looked at him with wide eyes.

“You jumped down on your own, you weren’t afraid! So then I promise! I promise I’ll be your best friend forever!”
