"Ahh..." Maya yawned, one gloved hand stretching, the other wiping her eyes. It was a beautiful autumn day.
The dark haired girl was currently seated at the side of the Goddess Pond in Forget Me Not Valley, for once still and quiet.
Initially, Maya had come to the Valley to explore. When the afternoon came, she was planning to move onto Mineral Town, before making her way home.
However, as she'd been walking around, she'd heard a group of girls giggling about the Harvest Goddess who lived in the Goddess Pond. The little kid inside her was intrigued, so she'd come here to check it out. After all, Goddess living in pond must equal magic, right? Like in the fairy-tales?
She'd been here for a while, and still nothing.
Still, she figured if she waited long enough, something would happen.
...Any minute...Now...?

There still wasn't much Cody could do, not after the fire that is. His back, which is hidden by a shirt, was wrapped in bandages, but one could easily see the bandage that extended from his left shoulder to his wrist. Now since it had been a few weeks since the accident Cody could easily manuver around the Valley. Celeste had warned him not to strain himself though, so instead of running he walked. A lot.

It was nearing the afternoon when Cody arrived at the pond. At first he was thinking of making a wish to his friends who were currently active in the military, to wish their safety. A girl standing at the edge of the pond changed his mind though.

Her straight black hair stood still as she did while she stared into the pond. Knowing what she was waiting for, he walked up next to the girl and smiled. "You'll have better luck if you offer the Goddess something," he suggested, wondering how long the girl had stood their in the autumn air just staring at the clear water of the pond.

Maya turned her head to face a guy - who looked around the same age as herself - occupying the space next to her. "I-What? How'd you sneak up so quietly?" She ask-spluttered, automatically taking a small half step back. "And how'd you know what I was doing? Creepy much?" Stopping, she considered him for a minute, a voice in her mind disapproving of her slight rudeness. "Well...Whatever. The name's Maya, Maya Lee." Grinning mischeviously, the dark haired girl continued. "I'd kiss you on your cheeks or somethin' but that's a) way too forward, b) way to girly and c) bound to upset any girlfriends you got."
