PostSubject: An Autumn's Afternoon {Savannah/Graham--Blue Heart}   Sun Feb 13, 2011 10:28 am

Savannah just loved the autumn weather; it was always perfect in her opinion. Not too cold, not too hot--just right. She didn't need to bundle up into heavy coats, nor did she have to walk around in minimal amounts of clothing. Dressed in a light sweater, a button up shirt, and a pair of jeans, she carried her guitar, which happened to be slung over her shoulder, down the hill. It was days like these that she felt the most relaxed and plus since the commotion around town was being to die down, along with the summer, it was much more quieter--she could play in peace. Savannah made her way to her favorite spot of the entire town--the tree next to the bard's house.

She took her seat in between two roots, pulled her guitar around and rested it upon her lap. She let out a content sigh, tapping lightly against the wood, like she was trying to find some sort of rhythm. After another moment or two, Savannah began to pluck at the strings, creating some sort of melody.

Graham didn't even have to look to know where the plucky, acoustic tune emanated from. It registered in his head that he would see the waif-like redhead perched by the bard's hut well before he saw it with his own eyes. The corners of his mouth twitched; in that way, she was predictable. It was the only way.

"You're good at that," he said, coming up behind her and leaning against the tree nearby. He looked her over. "Haven't seen you in a while," he commented.

Hearing a new pair of footsteps coming up from behind her, Savannah almost half expected to have been her familiar smoker. Though she hadn't seen him in a while; she just couldn't believe that after all those years from being away from the city that one of her long lost friends would find their way there--to a small run down little village. She chuckled softly to herself as the sounds came a bit closer until he finally really made himself known. "Thanks," she replied, glancing up towards him with a sincere smile.

She strummed once more before placing the wooden instrument on her lap, "I could say the same for you." She brushed a piece of her fiery hair behind her ear, "How have you been, Graham?"

Graham shrugged. "I've been," he answered simply. No need for elaboration, right? Spare the gory details. He looked at her. She had really blossomed in the...what, the entire decade it had been since they had parted ways? He wasn't surprised at all by the way she had turned out. He always knew she would be fiery, talented, pretty, sarcastic, musical. She was inclined to all of those traits even when they were young. Not that he had paid much mind to that as a child. He regretted that, now. They could've been great friends. And heaven knew he could've used some friends.

But now? He wasn't so sure. The idea of friendship seemed trite to him. He didn't feel deserving of any companionship, anyway.

He shook his head. Overanalyzing things. Once again. He needed to stop doing that. So he moved forward and just took a seat next to her. "How have things been for you?"

(OOC: OKAY, I know I sucked at this reply. BUT IT'S HERE. And it's kind of important because it's a heart event. xD SORRY)
