Since I started high school, I haven't had a lot of time to play any of my HM games, sadly. Since I'm on spring break this week, I decided to rediscover my love for the series, starting with one of my tried-and-true favorites, Harvest Moon DS. I'm going to challenge myself here, and try to do some of the harder aspects of the game. So welcome to ES's HM Challenge. C:

I started a new file today, and will probably update my progress and my goals on this thread as I go through the game. This is my fourth or fifth game file, so I already have experience with the glitches, cheats, and everything like that. I may or may not use those to my advantage.

As of right now, I'm on the very first day, Spring 2, Year 1. I've decided to try and marry Keria (how's THAT for a challenge?!) but I'm going to try to raise the affection of all the girls to a red heart.


Anyone want to join me in my quest to conquer this game? I'd love to get something going where we all start a new file, and maybe once a week post things like stats and affection levels and everything.

But I also have a second file That I haven't really played on. I just past the intro and Im like "meh"

Yeah, I know Keria's hard. >.< I've never tried wooing her before. But all the others are waaaay too easy! For example, I've barely started the game (I'm on the 24th of Spring) and I give gifts to Muffy SOMETIMES (like every 3rd day, I give her one of the yellow flowers). And she's already at a blue heart.

I was thinking about doing like a check-in once a week, with stats about your farm like how much money you have, how many sprites you've rescued, etc. etc. And then whoever makes the most progress in a week gets to request either a help guide for the game (like How To's), or a story or something from me. C:

I would be in but...I kinda lost that game about two years ago in my dads car...but then of course when I remembered where it was he had sold it...so yah.

If I do get it again (My birthdays is this weekend so prbly I will) I will join in this...for the time being will harvest moon ds cute be good enough?

I'm just gonna post my stats here for the first day~ They won't be counted this week, but you can post them if you'd like so we can see where everyone is. Remember, this challenge is to see how much progress is made in a week, not who gets the farthest or who has the most money. If you go from 3000G to 130000G in a week, that will earn you more points than a person who goes from 234000G to 240000G.
