When was the last time she actually decided to take the time and just listen?

The redhead didn't know, perhaps she had been so wrapped up in her own world that she had forgotten how to just sit back and, well, listen. Listen to what? The sounds the Earth creates--every sound being unique and beautiful in it's own way. Savannah let out a soft sigh, not caring to notice the puff of warm air that quickly disappeared from her very eyes. Her green eyes just stared out into the horizon of the slightly setting sun, mesmerized by the sounds of the crashing waves and the mixture of colors. She could have sworn to have heard the soft melodies of a cello mixed in with the waves, creating it's own little overture, one that would play at every beginning to the new day.

She didn't even know how long she had been standing there. All Savannah knew was that the tip of her nose had gone numb and must have been as red as some reindeers nose; she wriggled it lightly, trying to regain some sort of feeling. Giving up, she bit her lower lip lightly, bringing a redder tint to her lips, and stuffed her hands into her jean pockets. She pressed her head into the scarf around her neck, just listening to the sounds.

How nice it was to enjoy the little things in life.

The cold weather only seemed to make the cigarrette smoke stand out even more. Normally it was a small white whisp floating up, barely noticable. Now it was much larger, only to be covered up when he exhaled from his mouth by a large puff of warm air. The smell of the tabacco tickled his nose as he left his foot imprints in the snow. With each step there was a light crunch on the slightly frozen ground, dusted with a light cover of pure white snow. Winter.

Personally Gabe didn't mind winter, but he hated the extra effort that went into it. Besides dressing warmer he had to handle all of the patients that came in with colds. Without catching one himself. At least today he was away from the office and dressed in more comfy clothing. His tan cargo pants always made he feel warmer than his nice suit and a simple tee always felt more, breathable. Not that anyone could see it under he black coat. The important thing was that Gabriel felt comfortable and warm on this cold day.

Savannah let out a sigh, relaxing her shoulders, allowing her eyes to close for a moment. Winter. What was this eason about that made her so relaxed? That made her just want to stop and look around? A gentle sea breeze, rather frigid but still gentle, touched her skin; forcing it to become a pale pink. She reopened her eyes and just stared out to the ocean, wondering what could possibly be on the other side--wondering what still kept her in this place. She absentmindedly shrugged her shoulders and finally decided it was time to leave. There was no point to just wasting a day standing on a shore. So she twisted her petite body and took a few steps forward, her gaze towards the ground, until her eyes spotted a shadow from another figure before her--almost colliding into him. The redhead jumped back slightly, "Oh!" She gasped, "Excuse me, I didn't see you there." She nodded her head towards the familiar doctor.
