Summer was about two things for Riley: short shorts and killer wedges. Or at least this year in the fashion world. Lately the girl had be sporting wedges with an insane slope that killed her feet throughout the day. Fashion was all about pain sometimes, so she dealt with it. Every night she had to soak her feet to help with the blisters and soreness. Hopefully these shoes wouldn't last too long in the fashion world, otherwise she'd need some serious painkillers.

Sitting on a bench in the next town over, Riley peeked around before removing her wedges to unveil her feet. She didn't want anyone to see how nasty her feet looked. Her toenails looked wonderful with their French-tips, but blisters cover the bottom of her feet and with a band aid here or there, to cover up ones that popped. Bringing up her right foot on her left thigh she inspected her foot. From the looks of it sandals were out of the question for awhile. "Owww..." she cursed under her breath. "These stupid shoes are going to kill me. Why do they have to look so cute?"

Michael was off from work. And you know how he spent those days. Drinking coffee in the morning, taking a walk or two in the afternoon, and having a drink at the local bar, sometimes with his friend Gabe. Well it was the afternoon, and it was blazing hot. Summer was always brutal here in Forget me not.

When he got to the part where there were benches nearly all over the place, he couldn't help but look at one woman who had blisters all over her feet. He had to accept that he was glad he was not a girl. He would hate to wear high heels. Especially getting blisters. Michael walked closer to her.

"You know, they now create these things that you put in your shoes from getting blisters," He suggested.

[Whoa Belly almost cussed. O.O *tears start to form* MY BABEH IS GROWIN' UP!]

The sound of a man surprised Riley. In a quick hasty movement she shoved her foot back into the wedge not allowing the man to get a second look at her blistered feet. First impressions meant everything for her, and she would not allow the pain of fashion to screw that up. Elegant and classy. That was exactly her image that she wanted to maintain.

"The ones I have don't fit in these shoes," admitted Riley as she looked up at the man. She may know how to stop the pain by wearing flats but she was too stubborn to do that. Soon she knew she'd cave, but for now her feet would need to be ten times worst for that to happen. Besides she didn't have the money to be able to afford the upcoming fabric for fall and the new inserts that would fit her shoes.

"Anyway, I'm Riley Berkley," Riley said introducing herself to the man. Anything to get away from the idea of her blistered feet. "And you are?"

That was too bad for her. He was pretty sure they had different sizes. Just comes to show you that not everything works out at times. His shoes never pained him. Thats because they were just simple sneakers or some other types of shoes. He didn't really care. The woman was named Riley Berkley. Besides her blistered feet she seemed classy in most ways. She probably came from a rich family judging by her looks and her clothing.

"I'm Dr. Michael Greer. You can just call me Michael though," said Michael. He could say to himself that he had a rich family just because they had a high salary. But they lived in a simple two story house and not a mansion. Like any two story house you would find in a quiet neighborhood.

A doctor. Riley would have never guessed it since he was wearing normal clothing at the moment. It wasn't something she was used to seeing a doctor wear at all. She was used to black or tan pants, with a nice button down shirt and tie, and of course the dress shoes. Micheal was completely casual for a doctor, probably the least well dress of all the ones she's seen so far. At least he might be able to help her a bit with her current problem.

"Uh," she started uneasy. "Do you have any recommendations for medicine to help with blisters?" She looked away slightly embarrassed that she was asking for help like this, in a way it hurt her pride a little. To him she must have looked like an idiot, since commoners knew how to treat simple wounds like this. Having a pampered life until now left her helpless.

Blisters were very common. He shifted his brown eyes in thought. Blisters almost always are caused by shoes. This woman was wearing high heels, in fact, how did women walk in those things? That always lurked in his mind whenever he saw some people walk through with high ridiculously high inch high heels. Some women can even run in them.

“Well you could start off with more comfortable shoes. Blisters are common for starting that way,” He started, “but you can leave it alone or apply a loose bandage until it heals. They usually heal on their own.”

Well if Riley was working constantly and walking all over the place that would be bad. It would cause pressure on the blister(s).

“You may also want to be careful on walking too much.”
