Celeste always hated winter. Winter was cold, covered in ice and snow, how quickly her hands would get cold (even when she had mittens, and the blizzards that happened maybe once a year. The only color you saw was white most likely. She couldn't wait till this season was over!
On days like this where it was pretty dark out in the afternoon (when it was cloudy or snowing), she would lay down on her bed and read a book. Maybe having a nice cup of Hot Cocoa from Ruby. Although today she had chosen just to get some outside time. She didn't want to open her window since snow might come in plus it was freakishly cold.
No one seemed to be outside today. Maybe it was probably going to snow because of how the clouds covered the sky. The sky was pretty dark. The sun was no where in sight. She could of sworn she felt a snowflake touch the tip of her nose.
Her cheeks were turning a rosy pink from how cold the temperature was and her white snowcoat was not helping her keep warm. 'I should probably head back home soon....' Celeste thought. By soon she meant maybe ten minutes. For now she just stood there on a dirt road path that was covered in a blanket of snow. Even when she had earmuffs on she could hear crunching snow. Footsteps? Maybe she was just hearing things.
Unwillingly, she turned around. Maybe her eyes were toying with her but she could of sworn she could see a shawdow from the fog. Yes it was foggy, just barely. She rubbed her eyes. "I should really see an optometrist...." she muttered under her breath.
