2011 Bill that will make fan-fic, fan-art and fan-sites illegal

Right now this bill is going through congress. If it gets passed, any company that wants to can not just ask for content to be removed, but can literally have sites like Youtube, and even this site, shut down for copywrite infringement. It would do away with the Fair Usage Act. The original intent of this bill is to stop pirating, but this bill can also be used by politicians to shut down sites that shows them in a bad light. If you live in the US, call your senator and make sure they kill this bill!

I've heard about this. I don't know what to think about it quite yet, even after doing a bit of research, but I know it can't be anything too good. If passed, this bill could very well change gaming as we know it today.

My brother, who is a very avid gamer, has already contacted our state's representative and submitted his own input on the bill. Here's hoping that it won't get passed in it's current state. Let's Plays and game sites can be very, very helpful. |:

I do not believe this bill will get passed, there are multiple rights that guard us from these sort of bills.
I don't even want to try to count how many bills similar to this are proposed yearly that get vetoed by the government, but we have to wait and see. This one only got publicity like some do.
