Event Awards:
Straight forward. We have different events/contests that the staff hosts.

MOTM (Member of the Month) Award:
Info: One member is picked within the first week of the new month for this award. People continue to ask about this award such as the criteria. Well here's the list below. Members who earned their award have many (not always all) of the qualities for that specific month.

1.) Helpfulness, to members or to staff
(example: answering specific questions for confused members that the staff do not have to answer)
2.) Care for the community
(examples: participation in the suggestions area and various others such as reporting bugs)
3.) Monthly Activity
(example: participation and posting)
4.) Quality Presence
(example: Coming up with specific ideas to engage members in a fun way. Helping members, being professional, and/or quality and care in posts)
5.) Following the rules
(example: not spamming [short short posts] or hurting other members)
6.) Participation in staff events
(example: entering contests in the event area)
7.) That Extra "specialty"
(examples that do not relate to the other categories above)

I wonder how you can steal them though... You could copy the image, but then you'd have to get a staff member to put it on your profile. Maybe you could just earn one.

Hmm... I don't see how you could steal an award off the site. You'd have to be pretty good frends with one of the moderators, one of the admins, or Venus Rose herself. And, let's just say, I'm pretty sure you're not. ... And neither am I. I wonder what it would be like to be member of the month.

Besides, being "friends" with the staff doesn't really make a difference. ^^ We have a whole system in place. There's certain criteria that we look for, and being friendly with us isn't one of them. Just be helpful, active, and follow the rules.

Oh did I confuse everyone? Staff members cannot win member of the month because they are the ones that pick members based on the checklist above (and other factors such as reporting spam and things like that).

Staff can win events as well as long as it's not only staff that are judging who will win. They can win if it's a judgement from the whole community. Sorry if that confuses you. I can win some events too if I like depending on how the event is judged.

If staff wants to win events, you are allowed! But if you host the event, I think it depends how the event is like (based on the rules) before we can decide if we are eligible to win or not to keep things fair. Hope that explains things!!!!
